When Avi Voda started as a broker in New York City in the 1990s, he faced the same challenges many brokers still encounter today: high fees, limited support, inadequate training, and a traditional brokerage model that often favored the company over the individual.
After 30 years as a leader in New York real estate — including launching his own brokerage, selling it to WeWork, and co-founding WeWork’s real estate advisory services division — Avi saw a clear need to modernize the industry and create a better experience for agents, buyers, landlords, and renters alike.
That vision led him to partner with technology entrepreneur Chris Kossifos, Founder & CTO of CK Technology Group and Co-founder/Group CEO of Wanderport. Together, they built Heatmap — a tech-driven real estate firm designed to bring more transparency, efficiency, and support to brokers, clients, and landlords across New York City.
Chris’s experience building technology platforms and global service operations helps power the systems behind Heatmap, creating smarter workflows in an industry that has long been overdue for change.
